The name Switchback is a metaphorical reference to the sharp, 180-degree turns going up a mountain. It signifies a radical change in direction, a path that looks less then straight but leads eventually to the top of a mountain.

The Switchback exists to provide a temporary, transitional housing environment for youth 16-24 years old who have been affected by homelessness. It is a 2 year program within a 15-unit apartment building with 7 two-bedroom units and 8 one-bedroom units. We believe all youth deserve the opportunity to have a safe roof their heads without exception. Not only will youth find that here – but youth will be provided with wrap-around support to help reach their goals.
