Three years ago, Aaron said yes to something that felt a little wild: jumping out of a plane for youth experiencing homelessness.
It was his first Leap of Faith with Cyrus Centre, a skydive fundraiser supporting youth in the Fraser Valley. The idea was simple but bold: take a personal leap so youth in crisis could land safely, with access to shelter, food, and care.
“I saw an opportunity to challenge myself,” Aaron says, “and to step into a space of uncomfortability while making a difference for youth who’ve already faced so much adversity.”
That first jump didn’t just change his perspective; it launched a whole new chapter.
Since then, Aaron has participated in Leap of Faith three years in a row. The experience even sparked a personal passion: last year, he got his skydiving license and now has 38 jumps under his belt (and counting).
But for Aaron, it’s not just about adrenaline. It’s about alignment.
““ I believe in what the Cyrus Centre is doing in our communities and I want to support them to make certain they continue to have the opportunity to make a difference,” he says.”

For anyone on the fence about jumping, Aaron has some words of encouragement:
“I think it’s important to acknowledge and be ok with the idea that it’s scary. Jumping out of a plane at 10,500 feet (or more) is a big thing to step into, but IT’S WORTH IT… You will prove to yourself that you can overcome fear, step into your bold self and be a part of making a difference with the youth of our Fraser Valley Communities.”
He’s right, and that’s the heart of Leap of Faith. It’s about pushing your own limits so youth can move beyond theirs.
Every jumper raises funds to support Cyrus Centre’s work with youth experiencing homelessness, ensuring they have access to shelter, meals, advocacy, and connection.
Whether you’ve never skydived before or you’re looking for your next challenge, Aaron’s story is proof: it’s worth it.
You’ll walk away with more than a rush — you’ll walk away knowing you made a difference.
