How old do I have to be to participate?

There is no age requirement but there are weight requirements (jumpers must be between 90lbs and 220lbs). Anyone aged 16-18 must have a guardian waiver signed. Any jumper under the age of 16 must have a guardian present at the time of the jump.

How much money do I have to fundraise to jump?

All jumpers must raise a minimum of $800 in order to participate. The $800 must be raised by the time of the event.

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably and for the weather. We will provide you with a jump suit, goggles, and a soft shell helmet. Make sure you wear close-toed, lace up shoes.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If the weather is unsuitable for skydiving, jumpers will be notified via email A.S.A.P. If the weather is questionable, check your email often on jump day. If you don’t have access to a computer you can call the Skydive Drop Zone at 604-854-3255. It is not up to Cyrus Centre to determine whether or not the weather is safe for jumping. We fully trust Skydive Vancouver to make the safest calls for our participants and honor their decisions regarding jumper safety.

What time will I jump so I can tell my friends and family?

Factors such as weather, the number of participants, and more impact how the event carries out. We try our best to ensure that your jump will take place during a certain window of time but cannot guarantee exactly what time you will jump. It’s up to the experienced people at Skydive Vancouver to ensure what’s in everyone’s best interest.

Where does the event happen?

The jump takes place at Skydive Vancouver’s Dropzone in Abbotsford (5112 Gladwin Rd)

Who are the skydive instructors?

Skydive Vancouver has the most experienced staff in Western Canada. Their highly experienced instructors have over 50,000 skydives and 170 years of combined experience.

Can I get pictures or video of my jump?

Yes! Your friends and family can take photos of you as you get ready and from the ground as you jump. The landing area is fully visible and anyone on the ground can easily take photos of your landing. If you would like to capture the jump from in the air, Skydive Vancouver offers a variety of photo/video packages ranging from $89-$195.

In accordance with safety regulations, no one under 200 jumps may carry a camera for the jump. Please information us at registration if you plan to purshase a media package.

Can I get pictures or video of my jump?

After a short briefing, your small group (4-5 jumpers) and your professional instructors will take to the skies in one of Skydive Vancouver’s unique aircrafts. Enjoy the 15 minute flight to altitude, taking in the scenic views of snow-capped mountains, rivers, lakes, downtown Vancouver, and the Gulf Islands. You will then experience the magnificence of human flight at over 200KPH in freefall. followed by the quiet serenity of a surreal canopy descent. Steer the parachute if you like, or relax and enjoy the scenery and a soft landing back at the dropzone. Then you’re off to celebrate with friends and family and enjoy some good food!

Can I jump with my friend who is also participating?

Yes! While we may not be able to guarantee what time you will jump you can definitely choose to jump with another participant! Make sure to tell one of our volunteers when you register at the event that there is another participant you want to jump with!
