Executive Assistant
Tammy has been part of Cyrus Centre since 2019 and serves as Executive Assistant. She plays a key role in keeping daily operations running smoothly and is often the first point of contact for those reaching out. Tammy brings warmth and reliability to her role, helping support staff, leadership, and the broader community with care.
Nike Oye
HR Generalist
Nike believes a team that feels valued and empowered can do the most good for the community. She joined Cyrus Centre to align her professional skills with a mission that changes lives. Nike’s “why” is simple: by supporting the people who do the work, she ensures that our youth receive the best possible care.
Adam Beardwood
Abbotsford Centre Director
Adam Beardwood returned to Cyrus Centre in 2024 as Director of Abbotsford, completing a full-circle journey that began in 2009. His career includes extensive work with youth, families, refugees, and unhoused populations across Washington State. He is passionate about meeting people where they are and helping them move toward safety and stability.
Trevor Wiens
Chilliwack Centre Director
Trevor has been a pillar of our Chilliwack location for over a decade. Starting as a student and growing into a director, his “why” is rooted in the long-term transformation he sees in the youth every day. He is deeply committed to his community and his church, bringing a steady presence to our mission. Trevor serves because he believes that consistent, local support is the key to helping young people find their way forward.
Amie Goulet
Switchback Manager
Amie joined Cyrus Centre in 2022 and now leads Switchback, the organization’s low-barrier transitional housing program. With a background in street outreach, Amie brings a strong advocacy lens and deep respect for youth autonomy and dignity. She is passionate about creating safe, supportive environments where young people can take next steps at their own pace.
Matt Loewen
Executive Director
Matt is a leader focused on moving community toward generosity and bold action. His career has taken him from international youth work to local food security. He is passionate about creating environments where youth experience safety, dignity, and opportunity. Under his leadership, Cyrus Centre continues to deepen community partnerships while staying rooted in its mission of showing God’s love through practical and relational care.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Our Board of Directors brings together individuals with diverse professional experience and a shared commitment to youth who need safety, belonging, and support. Grounded in faith, the board provides accountability and prayerful leadership to ensure Cyrus Centre remains focused on its mission: showing God’s love through practical and relational care to youth and families in need.
Mitch is a founding member of Cyrus Centre and has served as Board Chair since its earliest days. With over 30 years of pastoral ministry, he is deeply committed to creating spaces of belonging, healing, and hope for vulnerable youth. Mitch believes every young person deserves unconditional love and the opportunity to discover their God-given purpose.
Maple is a University Professor Emeritus and has served on the Cyrus Centre Board since 2022. With over 30 years of experience in Child and Youth Care, including crisis intervention and suicide prevention, Maple brings a strong commitment to compassionate, trauma-informed support for vulnerable youth and families.
Shawn has been connected to Cyrus Centre since its earliest days. He is passionate about seeing youth experience Christ’s love, discover their identity, and find a sense of home through practical support. Through his business, Shawn has and continues to support Cyrus Centre with building and emergency response services.
David brings a strong financial perspective and believes early, intentional support for youth and families can create lasting, positive change. He serves to ensure that during their most formative years, youth have access to the stability they need. He is committed to positioning the organization to offer hope and long-term success to every family we reach.
