Our resource centres are our first place of connection in Abbotsford and Chilliwack. For youth exiting the streets, the resource centre offers a warm and welcoming space that includes comfortable chairs and couches, space to eat, play games, connect with staff and receive necessities. Our resource centres are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. They are open to youth aged 12-18 from 12:30 pm – 8:00 pm.

Services offered at the Resource Centres

Lunch is offered to youth aged 12-18 from 12:30-1:00 pm daily (includes weekends).

Dinner is served to youth and young adults ages 12-24 from 6:00-6:30 pm (includes weekends).

Many youths experiencing homelessness or unstable housing don’t always have access to hot water, proper hygiene supplies, or laundry facilities. Our resource centres and shelters have facilities for showers and laundry. Youth aged 12-18 may access showers and laundry daily during resource centre and shelter hours. Young adults aged 19-24 have access to these resources during Breakfast Club and Temporary Shelter Program hours.

In partnership with local food banks, Youth aged 16-24 can come to Cyrus Centre once every two weeks to collect food hampers. Food hampers are available for pick up between 8 am and 8 pm at both our Abbotsford and Chilliwack locations.

The Breakfast Club is designed to help bridge the gap in services and connections that youth often miss out on when they transition to adult services. Whether it is help to get housing, employment, mental health support, or medical assistance, the Breakfast Club is a great place for connection and support. Our staff has the resources to connect individuals to a wide variety of services and support within the community and walk alongside youth, where they are at, to achieve safety and stability for life on and off the streets. Youth who come to the Breakfast Club can also utilize Cyrus Centre shower and laundry facilities.
