For over 30 years, Trees of Hope has brought the community together to brighten the holidays and support local youth. This year, your tree helps fund shelter, meals, and support at Cyrus Centre.
What is Trees of Hope?
For more than 30 years, Sevenoaks Shopping Centre’s Trees of Hope has brought together local businesses and shoppers in a festive tradition that makes a difference.
Every holiday season, businesses sponsor and decorate Christmas trees that are displayed throughout the mall. Shoppers vote for their favourite tree, creating buzz, goodwill, and friendly competition — all in support of a local charity.
We’re honoured Cyrus Centre has been chosen as the 2026 charity partner.
How It Works
Sponsor a Tree
Make a minimum donation of $500 to secure your tree.
Set It and Forget It
Don’t have time? For $150 extra, volunteers can handle setup and takedown of your tree.
Engage the Community
Mall visitors vote for their favourite tree, and the winning business receives a prize courtesy of Sevenoaks.
Decorate and Display
Bring your team together to decorate your tree (or let volunteers do it for you).
Celebrate setup night
Enjoy setup night with refreshments and a chance to connect with other community-minded businesses.

IMPACT
Why this matters
In British Columbia alone, youth make up 25% (~7,000) of the homeless population. These young people, aged 12-18, often find themselves on the streets due to family conflict, abuse, or systemic failures. Without proper support, they face increased risks of exploitation, substance abuse, and long-term homelessness.
At Cyrus Centre we provide 24/7 shelter, meals, and support for youth in the Fraser Valley who are experiencing homelessness or crisis.
- Safe Shelter: 24/7 emergency housing for youth as young as 12.
- Warm Meals: More than 12,000 meals are served each year, often the first step into stability.
- Mental Health Support: With this year’s theme of Youth Mental Health, your sponsorship helps shine a spotlight on the urgent need for compassionate care and crisis support.
